flos (2021)

I made flos during my sophomore year for an Electronic Media Studio where I effectively used my project deadlines to motivate myself into finally making a 2D animatic/animation. I'm still very proud of what I was able to achieve in just 3 weeks and it immensely helped me get used to using Clip Studio Paint for animation.

The animation itself was inspired by a well known Japanese trope, hanahaki, which is essentially a fictional illness that causes someone to cough up flower petals if their love is unrequited.
