Overview
What Once Was was a passion project of sorts where I took a sketchbook idea from high school and wondered: What would this look like as a game? This was around the time I was deeply infatuated with Shadow of the Colossus and wanted to make a game that invoked a sense of scale through its environment. I was also pushed to focus on environmental and visual storytelling rather than relying on dialogue to communicate with the player.
